Do TCU dorms have curfews? ›

A “Quiet Hours” rule is in effect in all residence halls Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m. and 12mindnight to 10:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. However, residents are expected to respect the needs of others to sleep or study in the hall at all times.

Please check with your school for the most updated information regarding your dorm room guidelines. All TCU residence halls except Colby Hall are co-ed.

Most University housing facilities have individual room controls for heating and air conditioning. Heating and cooling of University housing facilities are controlled from a central location on campus. Use moderation when adjusting your thermostat and be aware that your thermostat may control more than one room.

Residence hall rooms for first year students are designed for as double occupancy; however, some rooms will accommodate three students. Many new night class options were introduced this fall as the university scrambled to adjust to COVID-19 protocols calling first for 6 feet, and later 3 feet, of social distancing. The protocols have been set aside, but students should get used to the possibility of evening classes.

The consumption, purchase, or sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the campus except in specially designated areas authorized by the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs. Furthermore, no person may provide any alcoholic beverage to any person less than 21 years of age.
