The 45 best restaurants to try in Bophut (2024)

Perched on a hillside with stunning views of the gulf, Jungle Club is a laid-back boutique resort and restaurant in Koh Samui. The eco-friendly establishment features traditional materials like bamboo and wood, as well as compostable straws made from plants. The open-air restaurant offers a diverse menu including Thai, French, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisine. Guests can relax on bright red bean bags while enjoying panoramic vistas of Chaweng Beach from the wooden decks.

We are so grateful for the music in such a beautiful setting, Ella Fitzgerald instead of techno music so many places play. Music was relaxing, stunning views, super steep drive up, but no real vegan options, but coconuts, guacamole and amazing olives got us by. Make a reservation during high season (recommended) esp for sunset.

Went for sunset dinner and was not disappointed. Al first, we were sat underneath tree branches. There were a few bugs while it was still daylight, so we asked to move to a table under a roof. Once the day turned to night and the air cooled down, there were no more insects near us. We enjoyed the delicious food and the drinks. Definitely recommend coming here for their co*cktails! Staff were friendly and efficient.

Can't comment on the food as we just stayed for a round of drinks. Decor and lighting is stunning. The night views down towards the coast were lovely.Possibly one of the most unique restaurants I have seen anywhere. Book in advance if you want to visit for food.We had to wait 20 minutes at the reception area before being allowed to enter.I believe this is to limit the number of guests to the availability of tables and seating, which is fantastic as it enhances the experience for everyone. The drive/ride into the car park or drop off area is quite steep and twisty.Overall the jungle club is well worth a visit, and I expect sunset would be the peak time to visit 😊

What a beautiful space! We stayed the night in one of the pool suites. The view at breakfast is breathtaking- breakfast itself wasn’t ideal with the set menu options (for me I like a mix of different items)- but the quality was still great and they had vegan milk options. The rooms are airy and open - with a lovely decor and such comfortable beds.Any issues you have, the staff are very attentive and helpful.A downside would be the water pressure - but that’s me searching for something wrong - it was manageable. The pool can get dirty if not switched on so ask for assistance to turn it on.Their infinity pool has a spectacular view and definitely get up for the sunrise 😍! We were also lucky enough to also watch the thunderstorm the night before.Grab a moped and ride around the island- it’s an awkward hill but if you’re comfortable it’s just add some of fun and ease of travel!100% recommend this one !

We stayed at the Jungle Club for one night and although our room was absolutely beautiful and so jungle-like, it was extremely warm at night so we were happy to only stay one night. Location is very isolated too, it’s up a really steep road that some taxis cannot access so be aware of that.I pre-booked a table for dinner a day prior and when we arrived for dinner the staff made it a lot more complicated than it needed to be, considering most tables were empty when we arrived.Amazing co*cktails and really cool vibe and atmosphere, but I did get a lot of mosquito bites from being outside. Pool was small but really nice with a beautiful view. Also be prepared for bugs and lizards in the room as there are gaps between the windows and the walls.

Great viewing spot. Food was good but took very long to get our food. Highly recommend taking the shuttle from the bottom. The automatic bikes don't have the braking power for coming down or the power to go up. And chances are you don't even have enough experience on a bike. But if you want to get all scraped up and wreck the rental giver. 🙄

a great view! But that's it for the positive! a very discriminatory club, recommended for alcoholics! However, if you want to chill and enjoy good food, you've come to the wrong place! The first time I didn't feel comfortable in Thailand and wasn't welcome. Bones in the burger... great overall package

First of all, The view was amazing!!!! We went here with the plan of having drinks first then lunch. It was a very hot day so we really preferred to have drinks. Upon arrival, the lady (maybe head of f and b) approached us. She asked how many people. We were 4 adults and my kid. So a total of 4 people and 1 kid. She told us to wait in the bar first and will have a chair after some people have gone. We asked the waiter for our table and was given nothing. Was told that every table was reserved but no one came. I understand it was lunch time and we plan to relax and enjoy it too. We can spend money too but don't discriminate because why? We are Asian? The effort to go there was hard but they don't let you relax. Again the view was amazing!

We decided to visit this place, as the day was windy and the beach was closed for swimming. The view was amazing. You can find a great variety of dishes here and the food was delicious. The climb up the hill was a bit steep with the scooter, but they do provide a shuttle service. The prices are on the upper side, but it was worth it.

Beautiful place with amazing setup and scenery. Staff are attentive and FYI you can only book via their form or calling. Do not use any other site or pay a deposit as this isn't legitimate.Difficult to access on a moped apparently so advised to park at the bottom (there's a little shop and a sign saying pickup point) then call the restaurant and they will send a 4x4 to collect you for 200baht return and it's about a 5min journey. The views were amazing at 6pm seeing the sun set. The food was nice but honestly our mains weren't as nice as I was hoping (truffle pasta and duck confit)Still well worth the visit

Didn’t stay at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant.Amazing views, fun and colorful atmosphere, and good food. Don’t attempt to ride up on a motorbike!! The food wasn’t AMAZING, but what my group ordered was really tasty. The soft shell crab dish was not what I expected and was difficult to eat because the crab was wholly incorporated into the rest of the dish and the shell was not soft enough to easily eat; some parts not at all.Park below and call for a ride, otherwise you’ll get stuck and need to have help to rescue you.

Food was good and the co*cktails that we drank were very tasty. Only complaint that I have are the waiters. The attention for their own mobile phones was a bit annoying. The toad to the hotel/restaurant is very steep. We went there on a motorbike, and it was ok. Just be aware.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much for them. The pool is just incredible with outstanding views and fresh towels are left by the pool. The rooms are very spacious with a great layout. The bathroom is exceptional and beds are comfy. Each of our Jungle bungalows came with hammock and two loungers with a balcony area into the grass. The only downfall with the rooms are the gaps in the windows which allows more insects then necessary. There is a net provided around the bed which again is a great positive and I didn’t get bitten once during my stay. The restaurant and bar is by far the most beautiful view of the island and this made me stay in the hotel on my second visit to the island.I would recommend getting a moped as the hill is steep and taxis do not like coming up. The hotel does provide a jeep every day to get you up and down which is readily available. We got the mopeds through the hotel and Ritchie was nothing but a great help for my friend who had never ridden before.Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. If I could give a higher rating, I would.

Fabulous views like all the reviews say. Food priced to match, but for the views it was worth it. Easy to find cover and continue our drinks/food, even when a rain storm came in. Super friendly service, comfy relaxed seating options, wide variety of food & beverages on the menu. A bit tricky car ride up the hill....I wasn't sure if our little rental car would make it. Easy parking across the road from the restaurant.Highly recommend!!!For the review that says 100B shuttle each way isn't worth it, I completely disagree. He obviously has no idea how far and steep that road is. Had I known there was a shuttle I may not have taken the risk renting a car, in rainy season, driving on the left up such a steep and long road.

Yvonne Sekowski — Google review

Great spot for a drink or some food.Looking at previous reviews, we decided to park our bike at the bottom of the hill and get the shuttle service up (book through jungle book - 200baht round trip), at the bottom of the hill you’ll see a sign for jungle club pick up - a bike parking spot right there.Recommend booking if you want a spot on the red bags. The food and drink were on the pricy side, but expected - they add on a 10% service charge which I think is a bit cheeky.Overall a nice place to visit.

Beautiful scenic mountain view overlooking the island and it's beaches. The waiter's service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was "lofty" and lovely. Be forewarned, The road up to the top is extremely steep. If your car is underpowered don't attempt. My Ford Ranger truck ate it up :)

It's a must do for lunch or dinner, lunch would probably be better as they closed before we had the chance to order desserts which was disappointing as we sat down to eat at 7:30pm so not overly late. The view is stunning, co*cktails are great. Not much choice of wine by the glass, huge selection by the bottle though. I would definitely visit again just at lunchtime maybe, hotel looks lovely too!

I posted my experience on a Thailand Travel Group with pictures and got an overwhelming positive response. Many replied that it is now on their bucket list. This place has exceptional views and service. Contrary to a few other reviews I've read, the menu prices were very fair considering the value. I spend more for breakfast in the USA at McDonald's and for that amount I got to have breakfast in paradise 😋👍🌴🌴

Visited the restaurant for lunch and it was such a lovely experience! The views were like nothing we had ever seen before and it was completely worth it! The drive up was a slow one for our two wheel drive car but we made it up the hill without any issue. For the food, it was just as amazing, very flavorful with many options to choose from with beautiful presentation.

Amazing views, decent food. Service was very slow - we had to ask three times for a coffee and had to flag down the staff to order anything at all. I got the curry in a coconut, it was pretty good! The banana smoothies were delicious as well. Unfortunately, my husband got food poisoning from the Pad Kee Mao.

It's all about the location. Fantastic views and surprisingly good food. They're not ripping you off either. Obviously more expensive than a lot of local places but 4 of us had a full Thai meal plus 8 drinks for THB 4000 including service. The drive up is very steep in places, but manageable in low gear but fully worth it for the views.Booking is essential and I would suggest you book 3+ days in advance. We booked ahead 2 days and could only get a 4-6 slot on the bean bags, but the views and location were stunning and well worth it.

We had a beautiful evening last night. The service was outstanding, as was the food. Drink orders were taken soon after being seated. And we had plenty of time to peruse the menu before ordering. The menu was varied with 'something for everyone'. Thank you to the Chef, service staff and taxi drivers, all helping to make a memorable evening for us.

We visited Jungle Club for the first time 9 years ago, and back then, we decided that the next time we would stay here. The place is renowned for its breathtaking views, and once again, it left us in awe with its beauty. The Jungle Club staff arranged transportation for us directly from the port, and the reception was warm with extremely helpful and courteous staff. Our accommodation, or rather our small home, was the Jungle Lodge, and I was truly amazed. I had seen pictures of the place, but the views, private terrace, and the lodge itself were absolutely incredible!Situated at a considerable height, Jungle Club always provides transportation up and down the hill as needed, making it easy to explore places like Chaweng from the conveniently located pick-up point downhill. The staff deserves special mention. Our flight was at 7 in the morning, and they arranged rides to the airport and provided a pre-packed breakfast the night before, ensuring we didn't have to travel on an empty stomach (and this was done without us asking, which was a really nice touch).I can only recommend this accommodation, and next time, we'll try an even more luxurious room type! Thanks for a fantastic stay in this little paradise surrounded by the serene jungle!

Went for dinner here for out last night in Samui, beautiful views. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation, but after a quick wait they had a table for us. Views are unreal from up there, definitely worth a visit. Food was good but the view definitely make the experience amazing. Our car wouldn't take us to the top so we got the car the provide... It was a journey, 🤣🤣🤣

Difficult to get toFood had no tasteWere made to leave for a taxi that hadn’t arrived yetRushed off the tableWe were really excited to be able to get a reservation here as we had been looking forward to this since arriving in Thailand. We went for dinner and drinks at 8pm the table was lovely and view was great. The wine was really tasty but our dinner order wasn’t taken for an hour after we sat down. This would have been fine but meant our dinner was eaten later than expected. As the bar was closing we were offered another drink so we all ordered a co*cktail once they arrived we were told we had to order a taxi and leave in 10 minutes? I’m not sure why we were allowed to order more drinks because then we had to drink our last drinks really quickly before we were ushered out saying our taxi was here.We then waited for 20 minutes for a taxi that wasn’t there while all the staff even the security left us there waiting. The whole experience was confusing we should have just been told how long we had the table for and as we had one of the last sittings we should have been asked for our food order so much earlier so we could enjoy our last drinks. The food was also pretty average for the price not a lot of flavour and not that hot. Really disappointing.

We went for a drink and some snacks to The Jungle Club and loved it. It was so picturesque and a really nice calm environment on a sunny day. The views are lovely so we got some nice photos. We didn’t have a booking so wasn’t sure if we would get in based on the reviews but we turned up and waited about 10 minutes and they fit us in. Other people did the same so they definitely do accept walk ins.

Came here for dinner and had a great experience.Need to book in advance as they're usually quite busy.Forgot the name of the dessert I had in the picture but it was really really good! A must try if you've a sweet tooth

Very nice bar/restaurant with a stunning view! However, prepare yourself for possible waiting list if you are not booked in advance. We only had a coffee but it was really nice, although a bit pricey.

Kriss Tran — Google review

First off, it's worth it. Some of the reviews had me concerned, but the staff are great. Maybe not overly fake friendly like some places but they are friendly enough and offer good service. The view is the draw obviously and it definitely doesn't disappoint. It's actually even better in person as it's so much larger than pictured.

Chad Quesenberry — Google review

Bad service. We were greeted by a female staff and she took us to the bar first while waiting for the other table to be available since we were a group of 5 people. So we ordered drinks and when the table was finally vacant, the staff said the tables were reserved. Idk if they’re choosing the customers who can sit on the table or what but it wasn’t nice. Anyway the view was amazing.

Donna De Castro — Google review

My only regret is not booking in advance, the view is so beautiful it would have been nice to have ate right at the front. But that's not the venue's fault!Food was top notch, staff were friendly. Defo don't try to walk up there though as it's very steep and quite high up!

Amazing view point for a lunch stop. It was busy but still quiet and enjoyable and the daylight allows to enjoy the sea views fully. Plenty of shaded space with fans.
