Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (46-28/16-14)
COLUMBUS 6, SYRACUSE 5 / 8 (BOX)
Syracuse had a weird day at the office. Firstly, about an hour before gametime, Luisangel Acuña was scratched with a sore foot, and then the weather forced them to play a eight inning affair.
The Mets led after one, scoring two on a Luke Ritter double. Dom Hamel really struggled though, and gave it back, surrendering three runs in the second. A run scored in the third as well, but it was on a throwing error by Matt O’Neill, which is hardly Hamel’s doing.
A Brett Baty double and a Luke Ritter two-run home run made it a 5-4 Mets lead, but new friend Tyler Zuber (acquired for Paul Gervase from the Tampa Bay Rays at the deadline) had a rough go of it, giving up the skinny lead with a solo home run and surrendering a sacrifice fly, which push the score to 6-5.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (35-32/17-12)
BINGHAMTON 1, NEW HAMPSHIRE 0 (BOX)
Binghamton and New Hampshire went full Deadball Era, combining for one run, eight hits and five walks. Binghamton only had three hits, two of which came in the fourth inning — a lead off double by Rowdey Jordan and an RBI single by Ryan Clifford.
On the pitching side, three Rumble Ponies pitchers combined for the shutout victory. Jeffrey Colon started the game and threw 3,2 innings, Nolan Clenney pitched for the next 3.1 innings, and newish friend TJ Shook (acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers for Tyler Jay a few weeks before the deadline) pitched two hitless innings for the save.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (33-33/14-19)
BROOKLYN 8, ABERDEEN 4 (BOX)
Brooklyn started hot in the win, scoring seven of their eight runs in the first three innings. They scored two in the first, both of which coming on a Mateo Gil home run. They added two more in the second — one on a Omar De Los Santos triple, and another on a Nick Morabito single. They followed that up with three in the third. The first on a Christian Pagent single, the second on a Sebastian Castro walk, and the final one on a throwing error.
Aberdeen slowly worked their way back into the game, going from a 7-0 deficit to a 7-4 deficit over the course of the game, but the lead was too large. The Cyclones made it an 8-4 game with a second De Los Santos RBI triple (two RBI triples in one game is so fun), which was just icing on the cake.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (22-44/11-22)
FORT MYERS 7, ST. LUCIE 2 / 7 (BOX)
St. Lucie did not start their game until 9:30 due to the weather and played only seven innings as a result, but they gave up plenty of runs in that time frame.
Colin Houck drove in a run with an RBI single in the first, but it was downhill from there. The Mets surrendered three in the first, two in the third, and two in the fifth, which put the game completely out of reach.
Yohairo Cuevas hit a solo home run in the fourth to put St. Lucie’s second run on the board, but it was all for naught.
